The Department of Sociology at the University of Colorado Denver is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Department Chair. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Sociology or a closely related discipline and should be eligible for appointment with tenure at the rank of Associate or Full Professor at CU Denver. Individuals should have an active research program, a distinguished scholarly record, evidence of high quality teaching, and administrative experience relevant to the Chair’s role. Applicants’ research program should be in an area complementary to the existing research strengths of the department (i.e., health and wellbeing, criminology, and the family) and there should be a history of extramural funding, preferably with currently active support.
