DUKE UNIVERSITY. The Department of Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor position to begin August 2010. Candidates must combine evidence of theoretical contributions in their field with a commitment to research and teaching. Candidates will be considered regardless of field of specialization. The department has special interest in candidates with expertise in race and ethnicity, gender, health/medical sociology, the sociology of markets and management, and/or the ability to teach statistics and quantitative methods. CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY, Department of Sociology in the College of Arts and Sciences: one tenure-track position (rank open, junior preferred). Priority will be given to candidates in the areas of race/ethnicity, class and/or gender. Above the rank of assistant professor, a strong publication record is required, and priority will be given to candidates with a record of major funded research.
