Poverty in America: Health and Well-Being Among
the Vulnerable edited by Kevin Fitzpatrick. This three-volume interdisciplinary collection will explore the challenges and solutions in addressing the public health crisis among America’s poor. While providing both theoretical and empirical insights, contributors will be asked to prepare manuscripts for one of the three volumes. The first volume explores the general challenges of health and health care among the low and no-income population; a second volume is devoted exclusively to health and health care issues among the homeless; and a third volume focuses on the link between health and place and its impact on America’s poor. Potential contributors are asked to propose a chapter for one of these volumes. E-mail a proposal of no more than 900 words, and a two-page CV to Kevin Fitzpatrick [email protected]. Deadline: September 15, 2011. For more information go to: http://sociology.uark.edu/3550.php and click on the “Poverty and Health in America” link. Comments are closed.
