Importance of Section Membership
Your membership helps strengthen our presence in ASA and the opportunity of members to present and share their work. The number of sessions allotted to the Children and Youth Section at annual meetings is proportional to our section size. Each membership makes a difference!
How Can I Join the Section on Children and Youth?
The Section currently has nearly 400 members. Whether you are a faculty member, student, researcher, or professional outside of academia, if you have interests in the sociology of children and youth, we'd like to invite you to join us.
If you do not belong to the ASA, a prerequisite for section membership, we invite you to join both it and our section. Here’s how: Write a check payable to ASA (in the memo write Children and Youth Section Student Membership Account). Send the check directly to:
Diego de los Rios,
Governance, Sections, and Archives, ASA,
1430 K Street NW
Suite 600
Washington, DC 20005
If the amount is more than $50, ASA will send a receipt before tax refund period for tax deductible purposes.
